Customers hoping to secure a new Yorkshire Building Society two-year tracker mortgage will need to go through moneysupermarket.com.

Mortgage expert at the price comparison site Hannah-Mercedes Skenfield claimed that the home finance arrangement is the leading tracker on the market for deals at 75 per cent loan to value.

She said: "Since the start of the year we have started to see healthy competition within the mortgage market and rates on two year tracker deals have been falling since January."

The Yorkshire Building Society two-year tracker mortgage tracks the base rate at +1.75 per cent, which means customers will currently pay 2.25 per cent.

Applicants will need to pay a product fee of £995 and the firm estimated that the monthly payment will be £659.20 for a house worth £150,000, with a 25 per cent deposit.

This week, Yorkshire Building Society also unveiled a three-year fixed-rate mortgage, which is available from 3.65 per cent interest.
