Norwich and Peterborough Building Society has announced that it is to introduce a range of new mortgages.

Mortgages with a discounted rate for three years are now on offer, including a 2.95 per cent product which is available with a loan-to-value (LTV) of up to 75 per cent.

A second deal with a rate of 3.15 per cent is also on offer with a 75 cent maximum LTV, but it includes free legal fees or £200 cashback for remortgaging customers.

Richard Barker, product manager at Norwich and Peterborough, said that the company is expecting to see a slow recovery from the recession in the coming months.

"We're not predicting a boom by any means, rather we expect to see a slow and steady pick up in the numbers of people looking to buy or remortgage," he stated.

The building society has also recently released an E-Saver account, offering a rate of 2.55 per cent gross on funds deposited.
